The Practice is promoting the Scottish Bowel Screening Programme. Patients between the ages of 50 to 74 will be invited for screening every two years.

Colinton Surgery was first established by a Dr Heriott, practising from 24 Dreghorn Loan in the early 1900s and moved to the current premises in 1986 (extended 1997). The Practice provides a comprehensive range of healthcare to approximately 11,000 local patients.

We are open from 0800-1800 Monday to Friday with late appointments available until 1830 on Mondays and from 0730 on Wednesday mornings (pre booked appointments only).

The Surgery has District Nurses based on site and Health Visitors who operate clinics from the site. It is also a Training Practice supporting 1 or 2 Registrar Specialist Training GPs and Year 5 Medical Students. For more details see the other pages of this website.

Access for Disabled People

There are two parking spaces reserved for disabled people.

The surgery consulting rooms are all on one level.


Off-street parking is available for patients on surgery grounds.
